In this assignment I would like to demostrate 3 principles of Design. I chose to talk about White Space and Clean Design, Proximity, and Repetition.
White Space and Clean Design
On this Web page we see a lot of white or negative space. Here we can see this space between icons, margins, gutters, space between lines of type, or visuals. The right amount of white space on this website makes it look “clean”. It also helps the user easy to focus on the main message and visuals.
Proximity
The law of proximity is about grouping things that are related together. Using varying amounts of whitespace to either unite or separate elements is key to communicating meaningful groupings. For example, on this Ladoga-Land Website we see different groupings of text, that help us to better perceive the material.
Repetition
The principle of repitition means reusing of the same or similar elements throughout all design. It brings clear sense of unity, consistency, and cohesiveness to the website. For example on this webpage we see the consistency in color. Button is the same throughout the site and also the pictures of the team members are black and white, and they are in a circle shape with a blue line.
